Do you have a teaching background and are you interested in educational research? Do you have any questions in mind that you would like to explore further scientifically? As part of a master’s thesis or maybe even a doctorate?

Then you belong to the target group of the WiNaLehramt! project.

What is this project about?

Attracting young academics from teacher training has great potential for educational research. This group acts directly at the interface between educational science, subject didactics and educational psychology research and can specifically moderate and promote the dissemination and implementation processes of scientific findings in the multi-level school system. However, (prospective) teachers face great challenges in their profession-specific teacher training programmes, especially in the transition to doctoral studies.

This is because the basic nature of teacher training is transdisciplinary and multi-paradigmatic, and at the interface to the research-oriented doctoral phase, in addition to expanded theoretical, methodological and methodological orientation knowledge, there is a need for goal-oriented counselling situations, for example in the form of systematic mentoring.

Goals

In order to be able to address as many (prospective) teachers as possible with a tailor-made programme, the locations in Tübingen, Dresden, Münster and Hanover have joined forces

  • to arouse interest in scientific research
  • to motivate further academic qualification in (empirical) educational research
  • to facilitate the transition from the profession-specific teacher training programme to the research-oriented doctoral phase
  • to promote networking with actors from the scientific community at different locations

TARGET GROUP

Advanced Master's or state examination students in the field of teaching as well as graduates of teaching degree programmes who are already in the preparatory or school service or are in the university service as seconded teachers or teaching assistants.
