As part of the digitalization master plan, more than 60 secondary schools received funding through their participation in the "Human-Robot Collaboration Robonatives" project. To support the project schools in working with the new robot systems, a "Robotics Competence Center" started its work in August 2021. The competence center for robotics in Hanover coordinates the nationwide activities for the qualification of teachers for various robot systems and supports the implementation of qualifications and the development of programming examples at the three locations Hanover (Leibniz University), Osnabrück (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) and Oldenburg (Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and Jade University). The state initiative n-21: schools in Lower Saxony online e. V. provides the overall project management.
